Danawa
Resources Sdn Bhd (DANAWA) is a nationwide
telecommunications service provider in Malaysia. Danawa also
has ISP operations in Indonesia and Cambodia, Vietnam. DANAWA
is helmed by its Chairman, YBhg. Datuk Abdul Hamed bin Sepawi.
After obtaining the necessary
telecommunication license from the Malaysian Communications
and Multimedia Commission ("MCMC") at the end of
the year 2006, DANAWA got actively involved in the telecommunications
industry and is expected to grow significantly within the
next 5 years..
The main focus categorised
as follows :-
(a) The Implementation of
Sarawak Broadband Initiative (SBI), a Federal & State
backed Initiative to increase the State`s Internet broadband
penetration to 50% by year 2010;
(b) Internet Subscription
Service to individuals, corporate, hotels, goverment bodies,
etc providing triple play which encompasses data, voice and
video; and
(c) Offering shared infrastructure
services to second tier telecommunication services.
